The Thai Model Design Team were commissioned to provide a large scale landscape model by the marketing team of a huge upcoming coming resort currently under development on Domel Island, Myanmar. The developing company requested a model for their marketing suite to enable them to promote the resort and tourism in the area.

The resort is spread across 50 acres of land, therefore the Thai Model Design Team decided to build the model to a 1:500 scale, which allowed us to show a good level of recognisable detail whilst keeping the model at a manageable size. For example, the marketing model shows the site with plenty of surrounding context but is less than 2 metres x 1.5 metre so fits well into the developers marketing suite.

This project was a big undertaken for the team at Thai Model Design as we had to draw up many of the elevations ourselves from photos and had to accurately reflect lots of small but important level changes across the site.

This was a challenging build for the Thai Model Design Team, but even so, the build was completed in less than 6 weeks from start to finish. Upon receival there was nothing but praise for the finished product, so much so, that another was commissioned for the companies head office in their home country of Thailand.
